Connecting students to a class

Synchronous learning

After students have joined a class, they can follow along with a copy of the lesson you're delivering, complete activities, and participate in games and assessments. There are two ways students can join your class on hellosmart.com:

To help students join a class, you’ll need to provide them with your class ID.

You can share a link to a lesson with students so they can access the lesson outside of class time.

When you share a link to your lesson with students, they can open the lesson at any time and work on it at their own pace. This may be useful when you’re trying share multiple lessons to different students for them to work on asynchronously.

  • Students enter their school account credentials to access the lesson.

  • Using the share link doesn’t connect students to a live lesson. The link just gives them access to the lesson to work on asynchronously. If you start delivering the lesson live while they have it open, they won’t be included unless they join the class using your class ID.
